The person behind The Why.

I'm Geoffrey Campbell. My background spans marketing, promotional merchandise and working with businesses across a wide range of situations. Over time, the part of the work I kept being drawn to was not simply delivering a particular service. It was understanding the wider situation around the request, seeing the connections between different parts of the business, and working out what actually made sense next.

That generalist perspective now sits at the centre of The Why. Marketing and promotional merchandise still form part of what I do where they are relevant, but I don't assume the answer belongs to one discipline before understanding the situation.

The way I work is practical and conversational. I ask questions, test assumptions, connect things that may initially appear unrelated, and bring structure to what needs attention and what can happen next.

The Why is based in Tauranga and works with businesses and organisations across New Zealand and Australia. Some Business Consulting and The Why Hub work can also be delivered remotely further afield by arrangement.
